The Designer's Attic Instant space

it's friday!!  which means it's time for the designer's attic instant space!  hope y'all enjoy today's offerings:

let's start our room: 
first, let's make our focal pillow....i think dwell studio's vintage plume in camel (retails for $80 a yd) will do just the trick.  1/2 a yd will work perfectly to give us that accent we need...

because it is going to sit in between one of our fav's- kelly wearstler's katana in teal (retails for $176 a yd)...1 yd for two pillows to ground our pillow arrangement (using katana as front's only).  remember pillow groupings work best in 3's! 

now we need to add a nice coordinating fabric to use for a small reupholstery project: think chair seats or what about an ottoman...2 yds of this camel paisley should work well!

now for the punch: our bookshelves need a little sprucing up and this insanely pretty paper from cole and son will work flawlessly!  we will throw in 1 double roll of cole and son's alpana (retails for $150)

and that my friends is our instant space!

such a beautiful fabric from carlton v and lilac is very "in" right now!  would be beautiful in a bedroom, a nursery, or as a table skirt.  dorothy draper's 1970's remake of rhododendron's lilac color way on a linen background.  7 yds available (in 2 pieces).

thought it would be fun to mix things up a little here on the designer's attic!!  so on friday's, i have created a new concept: it's kind of like a grab bag that you use to get when you would go to the school carnivals only it's filled w/ awesome designer stuff....

A) China Seas Macao II jungle green multi: 30" W x 102"L, let's use this as our statement pillows

here is a fun way to get a china seas fabric but for much less- this is a tester fabric so it's not 100% perfect and it's not on linen, it's on a synthetic material for the screen test.  it would look great on a pair of draperies (drapes very pretty and tiny imperfections would go unnoticed) or what about a fun shower curtain...hello, china seas in the bathroom- yes please!  china seas lysette (tester fabric) in orange on tan.  10 yds available.
